Step 1: Get your favourite paddle brush or a Tangle Teezer and brush through your hair ensuring you have no snags or tangles. This is an important step to eliminate frizz and further tangling of your hair.

Step 2: Get yourself some hair clips, a minimum of two.

Step 3: Divide your hair into manageable sections and clip back the section you’re not working with just yet.

Step 4: Take a small section of hair, from your unclipped section, around 1-2 inches thick and comb through this section to ensure all tangles are gone.

Step 5: With your curling wand, I’m using the Remington Curling Tong (£26.99) here, wrap this piece of hair around the wand and hold in place for around 3-5 seconds, then slide the wand out of the curl.

If you’re not too familiar with curling wands I would recommend using the protective glove that comes with the wand when curling.

Step 6: Hold the curled hair by the base for a few seconds to help maintain the curl and set in place with a light weight hairspray.

Step 7: Now move onto the clipped section of hair, repeating steps 5 to 6 until you’re satisfied.

If you like more voluminous curls run your fingers gently through the curls to separate them.

Step 8: We want to make sure that our curls stay all day so go in with your favourite hairspray once again to set the curls in place and then voila!
