What Kate Middleton SHOULD Have Worn On The Royal Tour Down Under

The Duchess of Cambridge picks the most boring outfits by designers like Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney. Here's what we would have liked to have seen her in

The Duchess of Cambridge has a wardrobe that any fashionista would be proud of.

Alexander McQueen, Erdem, Roksanda Ilincic - her closet in Kensignton Palace is packed full of world famous designers that we'd love to get our mitts on.

During the royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, Kate showcased some of these gorgeous couture frocks but we can't have been the only ones who were a little dissapointed by her choices?

When we heard the 32-year-old was wearing McQueen to visit the Blenhim War Memorial we immediately imagined leather, lace, skulls - you know, classic McQueen.

Somehow Kate managed to unearth a plain blue wool coat by the British fashion house. We didn't know they made anything so plain.

Or when we heard that the mum of one chose British-Turkish designer Edrem for a day of royal visits in Hamilton, we were thinking funky florals and asymmetric cuts. But no, not for old Kate - a green wool coat was as exciting as it got.

Even when she visited the iconic Sydney Opera House, a highlight of the two week tour, she couldn't quite break out of her comfort zone.

Kate opted for a bright yellow Roksanda Ilincic dress on the day, which Prince William said made her look like a banana, but was relatively tame compared to the Serbian designer's typical style.

We've decided to re-imagine some of Kate's outfits from Australia and New Zealand, putting the Duchess in some of the designer outfits she could have worn.

Do you prefer Kate's simple style or do you wish she would shake things up a bit too?
