SPOTY 2014: Victoria Pendleton Wins Best Dressed On The Glasgow Red Carpet
The retired Olympic cyclist looked stunning in a wine-red full length dress, and a new lighter hairstyle
Victoria Pendleton might not have been in the running for Sports Personality Of The Year but she certainly won the battle of the red carpet - despite stiff competition from Lewis Hamilton's adorable pup Roscoe.
The former Olympic cyclist looked stunning in a wraparound maroon dress with three quarter length sleeves and a tie at the waist that showed off her slim figure.
The 34-year-old also debuted a new bob haircut, dyed a lighter caramel than her trademark dark tresses.
She went for a subtle make-up look with blushed cheeks, natural pink lips and defined eyes. She carried a matching maroon leather clutch and finished off the look with a delicate pendant.
We can't be the only ones that love this softer look on her, compared to her Strictly spangles and body con dresses of old, this sophisticated outfit is super flattering on the beautiful Olympian.
Her fellow cyclist Chris Hoy didn't have quite the style win, on the other hand, opting for a checked suit that looked a little too big and was reminiscent of pyjamas.
Moving to swimming stars, pregnant Rebecca Adlington glowed in a white long-sleeved mini-dress with matching clutch and sandals - bravely ignoring the wintry Scottish night.
Though the 25-year-old recently announced she's expecting her first baby with new husband Harry Needs, we struggled to see even the hint of a baby bump in the glamorous outfit. She wore her blonde locks loose and went for a natural make-up look.
Elsewhere Paula Radcliffe went for a striking red one-shouldered dress, while Judy Murray - mum of last year's winner Andy - looked glam (and more appropriately dressed for December in Scotland) in a black trouser outfit and purple tartan wrap.
Holding the fort for the boys was winner of the prestigious award Lewis Hamilton, who was accompanied not by Scherzy on the red carpet, but instead by his adorable British Bulldog. The Formula One driver's outfit was a little confused with a velvet smoking hiding what looks like rather too-big suit trousers, all paired with chunky black trainers.
Still at least he made an effort.
Cutting a more dapper figure was comedian Eddie Izzard, who paired his glassing tux with patent black heels and very snazzy British-inspired nails. Love him.
