Robbie Williams' Failed Clothing Line Farrell Relaunches In Primark

Will you be heading to Primark for some Farrell?

Farrell, by Robbie Williams, is a clothing line inspired by the singer's grandfather.

It was founded orginally in 2011 (no, we hadn't realised that either), but the brand filed for voluntary bankruptcy last October.

Oh dear...

However, Primark, the go-to high street brand for a good bargain, has decided to take on Robbie's line, insisting that it is "superb and amazing value."

What's It All About?

As we've said. the brand is inspired by Jack Farrell - a "Stoke-on-Trent gentleman", according to Robbie.

The clothes are a mix of clean tailored lines, British heritage and has influences from his love of boxing, such as textured sweatshirts, cable jumpers and shirts with his name spelled out across them.

Robbie Williams insists that his clothing line will give you stand-out, statement pieces, rather than acting as cupboard-fillers.

The 40-year-old ex Take That member has decided to model for the brand, evidently deciding that he himself is the line's best ambassador.

Primark

Ben Smith, Director of Menswear at Primark said: "Not only have we ensured the product is amazing but the whole concept from quality through to design and store environment have all played a massive part in ensuring we deliver a first class exclusive range to the Primark customer."

Items in Robbie's Farrell range will cost between £8 and £45.

Making A Change

So far, in terms of promotion for this latest venture - Robbie has posed for his campaign and offered a few quotes.

This makes a change from the weird publicity stunt he pulled just before announcing his 2015 'Let Me Entertain You' tour.

A few days before the announcement, Robbie launched a controversial series of live tweets and videos of his wife Ayda going through labour and eventually giving birth.

Some thought this was a harmless prank or even a nice way of sharing the arrival of his family's latest addition, but after it emerged that he seemingly did it in order to create some hype around his own name just prior to his tour announcement, feelings towards the singer soured.

Let's hope Robbie doesn't try and use his wife or any other member of the family in order to promote his Farrell line, ey?
