The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, 32, absolutely dazzled in a pastel blue Jenny Packham gown that showed no sign of a baby bump.

Despite being around 13 weeks pregnant, the Duchess looked as slender than ever in the figure-hugging frock that featured a waterfall style hem.

Kate’s gown cinched in at the waist and skimmed her thighs to reveal her nude, ankle-strap LK Bennett sandals (she wore these previously to the ARK Gala Dinner in 2011).

Keeping with the pastel theme of the look, she styled her outfit with a cream satin clutch and a silver statement necklace.

Her brunette locks were styled into her signature glossy blow-dry, with face-framing ringlet curls falling delicately around her shoulders.

Catherine was attending the awards at the Natural History Museum, where she is a patron.

In her role, she met with the finalists and viewed the exhibition, as well as joining Sir David Attenborough to present the awards to the overall winners.

Earlier in the day, the pregnant Duchess made her first public appearance since announcing she's pregnant with her second child.

The Duchess of Cambridge has kept out of the public eye since announcing her second pregnancy in September due to another dose of hyperemesis gravidarum or acute morning sickness.

But Kate's condition appears to have improved as she made her first official appearance since the news at the Horse Guards Parade in London.

The 32-year-old kept her burgeoning baby bump under wraps in a grey Alexander McQueen coat dress with a matching Jane Taylor hat.

Pearl drop earrings, a simple black clutch and black pumps finished off the understated yet elegant look.

Kate and husband William attended the event to welcome the President of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, to the UK alongside the Queen and Prince Phillip.

After revealing Prince George's baby brother or sister is due in April 2015, the Duchess was notably happy to be up and about.

Dr Tan remarked how glad he was that Kate was able to make the engagement, the mum-of-one reportedly replied: "So am I. I've been looking forward to getting out of the house."

The announcement of the baby’s due date gives us some clue as to where Prince George’s little brother or sister was conceived.

The Duchess is thought to be around 12-14 weeks pregnant, suggesting the couple’s second child – who will be fourth in line to the throne – was conceived in August.

We know that the royal couple spent their summer holiday in Scotland visiting the Queen and Prince Philip at Balmoral – before relocating to the family home in Norfolk for the rest of their summer break.

Does this mean that the royal baby was conceived on Scottish soil?! Now that Scotland is remaining in the UK after the referendum, we wonder if they will take that as inspiration for their baby name?

At the moment, James is the bookie's favourite boy's name, followed closely by Henry and Arthur. Elizabeth is the most popular girl's name, along with Victoria and Diana - so not Bonnie or Nessie.

But if they were to choose a Scottish name, let's hope they don't name it after a place like the Beckhams did with their son Brooklyn (reportedly named after the New York borough where he was conceived).

Prince Glasgow doesn't exactly have the same ring to it...
