Oscars 2015: Pregnant Keira Knightley And Sophie Hunter Battle It Out In Two Very Different Dresses

Keira went for a floaty and demure number while Mrs Cumberbatch proved that being pregnant doesn’t have to stop you from sexing it up on the red carpet

Whoever said maternity fashion had to be frumpy and boring?

Sophie Hunter, Benedict Cumberbatch’s new wife, spun red carpet pregnancy style on it’s head last night by wearing a pretty revealing dress to the Oscars 2015.

The pregnant star took to the red carpet on the arm of her devilishly handsome hubby wearing a floor-sweeping scarlet gown that was all kinds of fabulous.

We’re talking a waist-high split, loosely fastened together with safety pins. Plus, we’re pretty sure the mum-to-be must have gone commando as she doesn’t appear to be wearing any underwear…

It was a bit of a risky dress for the usually demure awards ceremony, but we reckon the gamble paid of as Mrs Cumberbatch looked phenomenal – and proved that a pregnant woman can most definitely look sexy.

Sophie, 36, completed her look with matching red lippy, drop earrings and a gold cuff and clutch, while her glossy locks were pulled back in a chic up-do.

Meanwhile the other pregnant star to strut her stuff on the red carpet was Keira Knightley, who went for an entirely different look.

The actress who starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘The Imitation Game’ is thought to be around seven months pregnant with her first child and has definitely got that pregnancy glow thing going on.

While we’re slightly let down that Keira wore yet another floaty number that hid her bump, we can appreciate that wearing a clingy bump-skimming number just isn’t her thing, so we’ll attempt to let it go. Besides, the star looked beautiful in her gown.

Keira, 29, opted for an ethereal beige Valentino dress, covered in appliqued flowers and French phrases. Her footwear remained hidden beneath the miles of organza so for all we know Keira could have been saving her feet with some comfy ballet pumps. But somehow we doubt it…

She wore her tresses in loose curls with a centre parting and added an embellished headband to complete the look.

Despite being heavily pregnant, Keira was determined to make the most of the night and attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, too.

The star changed into a glam velvet number, that showed off a bit of cleavage and boasted an empire line that sat nicely on top of h

er bump.

Isla Fisher, who's expecting her third child with hubby Sacha Baron Cohen, was another star to take her bump along to the party.

The actress, 39, wore a bold floor-length white and floral dress that offset her red hair perfectly.

Pregnant Molly Sims, 41, also attended the late-night do - despite being nine months pregnant. You've got to give her points for effort.

The model went for a neck-high, long-sleeved Ezra Santos Couture number that covered her entire body – but thankfully avoided a floral print that Kim Kardashian proved just doesn’t work when you’re rocking a baby bump.

Instead, Molly’s dress was covered in a crackled purple effect that left her shimmering all night long.
