NYFW - Some Seriously Weird Things Were Going On At The Betsey Johnson Show Yesterday

We love us a bit of Betsey Johnson.

The oddball designer is known far and wide for her ability to shake things up - often with mad colours and an air of childish glee.

Well, for those of us eagerly anticipating yesterday's New York Fashion Week show, it certainly didn't disappoint.

Not only did Betsey give us an incredible tribute to 80s Madonna 'Like a Virgin' bridal dresses, she also threw some drag queens and Real Housewives in for good measure.

Yay!

First of all, let's give you some of the flavour of yesterday's show:

As if that weren't enough, Betsey Johnson's runway was given over to some special, extra glamorous guests, in the shape of some of the most gorgeous drag queens New York has to offer.

And it didn't stop there.

Betsey made another striking statement by deciding to put castmembers from The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Atlanta on her runway.

Kristen Taekman, Camille Grammer (ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer) and Cynthia Bailey have all made a name for themselves by airing their dirty laundry on television, including highly publicised divorce proceedings in the case of Grammer.

So it seems pretty funny that Betsey would have put them in necklaces that read "PRE-NUP" in large, silver letters!

And finally, to top it all off, Betsey Johnson herself came out onto the runway to say hello, and swiftly demonstrated how young she really is at heart, by throwing her leg over Tony Dovolani's shoulder!
