Her style is very hit-and-miss so it’s refreshing to see her back to her red carpet best.
Actress Jennifer Lawrence was the picture of elegance at The Hunger Games: Mockingjay premiere in LA last night.
Appearing alongside co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, the 24-year-old Kentucky native topped our best dressed list in metallic Dior Couture.
We know what you’re thinking, ‘Dior... again?’ but the Oscar-winning actress actually had the dress altered to suit her youthful style.
J-Law’s couture creation was originally presented on the runway as a full-length gown but she had the hem shortened, resulting in a fresh take on the catwalk look.
It allowed her to showcase her strappy gold Altuzarra sandals, which she matched to her glossy box clutch.
The actress – who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen in the Suzanne Collins trilogy– opted for an effortless beauty look that perfectly offset her glamorous ensemble.
Her make-up was kept light and dewy with lashings of black mascara and matte pink lips complementing her fashionable frock.
Jennifer’s blonde locks were styled into a chic up-do, with curls framing her face elegantly.
Elsewhere on the red carpet, some of the film’s newer cast members flaunted their fashion prowess.
Julianne Moore – who plays President Coin in Mockingjay – channeled 20’s style in a plunging retro Tom Ford gown while British actress Natalie Dormer was a fashion hit in cut-out Rochas.
