How To Make A Homemade Cellulite-Busting Coffee Scrub Like Jessie J
The caffeine in a natural mask or scrub improves circulation and fights cellulite – so we found out how to make one ourselves
It wakes you up in the morning so it makes sense to use it to wake up a tired complexion.
That’s exactly what singer Jessie J did when she tried out a natural coffee scrub this week.
The former Voice judge posted a snap on Instagram of her bare legs covered in the stuff after rubbing it all over her body.
“I love this scrub… it's amazing! It’s a full body scrub to tone, cleanse and moisturise. Also reduces appearance of cellulite, scars and stretch marks!,” she wrote.
“I hate drinking coffee but I WILL rub is all over my BADY! [sic] Gooooood Morning world!”
Jessie, 26, is definitely onto something as a homemade coffee scrub wakes up your skin and brightens a tired complexion.
It can be used on your face to promote healthier skin, while the caffeine in a body scrub can improve circulation and fight cellulite.
To make it at home, you just need some natural yoghurt, ground coffee beans and cocoa powder.
To make a scrub, use more coffee beans, massaging it into the skin starting on your forehead and working down to your cheeks and chin before rinsing it off.
To use it as a relaxing mask, simply use less coffee beans and more yoghurt, leaving it to soak into the skin before rinsing off with a hot washcloth.
Ingredients:
4 tbsps natural yoghurt
2 tbsps finely ground coffee beans
2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
Apply to your face and body with a brush (we recommend an old, flat foundation brush)
If you’re using it as a scrub, massage it in and rinse off immediately
If you’re using it as a mask, wait until the mask is dry (around 15 minutes) before rinsing off with a wet washcloth.
Voila! Super-soft skin that’s had a caffeine hit before you’ve even left the house.
