Get The Look For Less: Celebs Who Love Their Spanx

As elfin Emma Watson flashes her power pants it looks like the age of the shapewear is well and truly upon us

Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Kristen Stewart all wear them while stars like Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba can’t stop raving about their hold-in underwear.

Once thought to be the secret shame of the larger lady, it turns out that everyone is sporting a pair of Spanx underneath their red carpet gowns, tailored suits, even denim shorts.

Even elfin Emma Watson was spotted wearing the infamous flesh-coloured shorts at the Noah premiere this week.

Now with Marks and Spencer releasing a whole body suit that promises to banish lumps and bumps, the age of the shapewear is well and truly upon us.

For the seasoned Spanx wearer, we all know that getting into a pair of these feats of engineering makes you look about as graceful as a ballet-dancing hippo.

Indeed, the idea of anyone seeing us get into our Spanx would immediately cancel out any notion of them wanting to get us out of them but you can’t argue with that streamline silhouette.

The original Spanx are a little on the pricey side but if you don’t want to spend upwards of £70 on magic knickers thankfully there are cheaper alternatives on the high street.

So whether you can’t stand your bingo wings or you want a flatter tummy fast, here’s our beginners guide to the world of shapewear because let’s face it – life’s too short to go to the gym.
