She’s used to winning The X Factor fash-off every week, but has Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (and Mel B for that matter) been beaten in the style stakes by former judge Nicole Scherzinger?

Glamorous Geordie Cheryl donned an LBD by designer Stephane Rolland for Sunday night’s results show – but viewers were quick to criticise her choice of outfit.

That’s because the 31-year-old’s dress featured a structured front that made her look a little bit naked behind her seat.

Some critics took to Twitter to slam the brunette’s sartorial choices, with some saying she had ‘left the ironing board’ down there by mistake.

And as much as we usually rave about Mrs. Fernandez-Versini fashion choices on The X Factor, we have to admit that the critics did have a point this week.

Her hair and make-up looked absolutely gorgeous (as per) but the designer dress was a very odd shape and at some angles, it did look like she was starkers behind the desk!

Meanwhile former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger took to the stage to perform her new single ‘Run’, with viewers heaping praise on her beautiful metallic outfit.

The 36-year-old, who found fame in the Pussycat Dolls before carving out a solo career, was the envy of viewers in her body-skimming, embellished gown.

And we have to agree that Scherzy did steal the spotlight from Cheryl and Mel B’s monochrome looks last night.

On Saturday night’s results show, the former Girls Aloud star had a fashion win in her plunging Naaem Khan dress, paying homage to the glamorous 20s era.

Her co-judge Mel B also donned an array of stylish ensembles this weekend, opting for a bodycon J. Mendel gown on Saturday night and channeling the androgynous trend on Sunday night’s results show.
