Amal Alamuddin Dresses Like A Fashion Pro At The Wedding Of The Decade

UPDATE: The beautiful Oscar de la Renta wedding dress, worn by human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin to wed actor George Clooney, has been exclusively revealed in HELLO! magazine and PEOPLE.

The bride wore a custom-made lace off-the-shoulder gown by the designer, while Clooney wore a black Giorgio Armani suit.

Amal's stunning wedding dress was hand-embroidered with pearls and diamanté accents and featured a full circular train.

Amal Alamuddin wore OSCAR DE LA RENTA to marry George Clooney on Saturday.

Fashion journal WWD has confirmed that Amal wore a dress created by Dominican designer Oscar De La Renta.

Also confirmed - the official wedding photos will be published in People and Hello magazine, and NOT American Vogue, despite previous speculation.

Amal and George stepped out today to head to the Venice City Hall to make their union legally recognised.

Simple, vertical tripes on a thick, jacquard-style fabric, Amal looked like a vertiable Audrey Hepburn as she arrived in Venice for her wedding in Dolce & Gabbana.

The Alexander McQueen

Seeing as Amal had been spotted recently at the McQueen headquarters, there has been a LOT of speculation as to whether Amal was going to pull a Kate Middleton and wear a Sarah Burton for McQueen design down the aisle.

Whether she did or not, we don't know yet, but we DO know that she wore this impeccable red, printed McQueen gown to the Venice rehearsal dinner.

The beautiful rich colour brough out Amal's striking features, while the waterfall hem allowed her to display her gorgeous, long limbs.

Guests arrived on Friday, streaking through Venice's famous canals in a flotilla of water taxis and boats laden with paparazzi.

Anna Wintour's presence gave a clue as to which MAJOR publication had secured rights to the official wedding photos.

(Hand up if you can't wait for THAT Vogue issue to come out).

In terms of the wedding itself, Amal and Clooney are said to have uttered their vows in front of a wall of handmade candles and white flowers, that included little roses, lillies and carnations.

Clooney's best man was Rande Gerber, Cindy Crawford's husband.

The main reception was held at the Aman Hotel, outside which a huge brown canvas walkway had been built, in order to shield guests from the public and the photographers, hungry for a glimpse of the wedding party.

Rumour has it that Clooney and Amal will be making their union official by registering their marriage at Venice City Hall TODAY!

On the day itself, guests outdid themselves, turning up in an array of gorgeous, floor-length gowns!

Our two favourites though, were Emily Blunt's chic Emilio Pucci powder blue, embellished dress.

And Luciana Barroso, Matt Damon's wife, who opted for a more classic silhouette, in a lilac Naeem Khan, Resort 2015 gown.

The Giambattista Valli Couture

The morning after the wedding, Amal and George were all smiles, holding each other close as they rode once again up the canals of Venice.

Amal completed her wedding weekend with this lovely, fresh, embellished-lace Giambattista Valli dress.

Another dropped hem, but this time a shorter one, with her pins even more on show.

Well done Amal, you've really outdone yourself!
