Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Has A Make-UNDER At Pride Of Britain Awards 2014
The X Factor judge recently admitted she prefers to do her own make-up
She topped our best-dressed list in her blue lace MT Costello gown.
But all eyes were on Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s barely-there beauty look at the Pride of Britain Awards 2014.
The newly-married X Factor judge appeared to have something of a make-under as she walked the red carpet at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last night.
The former Mrs Cole, 31, ditched the thick false lashes, statement lips and big hair as she opted for a far more natural look instead.
The nation’s sweetheart went for a flawless base but didn’t go for the heavy contouring that we normally see on her.
Her eye make-up and brows were kept relatively simple, while a slick of shimmering lipgloss completed her low-key make-up.
Cheryl also ditched the massive, voluminous hair that she’s famous for, instead embracing her darker roots and keeping her locks tame.
Her ombre hair was simply straightened and swept to one side, allowing her beauty look to take centre stage.
She also ditched the polished manicure and wore a natural creamy nude shade on her talons instead.
The star parted ways with her long-term Glam Squad earlier this year and hired new hair stylists and make-up artists to overhaul her beauty regime.
World-renowed hairdresser Paul Pervical is responsible for her X Factor 2014 hair while MUA Lisa Laudat is the one giving her that gorgeous glow on the show.
However she said in a recent interview that she actually prefers to do her own make-up.
“I’ve lived with this face for 31 years, so I know it better than anybody!” she told HELLO! Fashion Monthly.
She also revealed her contouring tip involves using an eyeshadow instead of a bronzer.
"I use eye shadow to contour my cheekbones. A matte taupe eye shadow is the best product to create cheekbones" she said.
"My [former] makeup artist Lisa Laudat taught me that tip years ago when I was in Girls Aloud."
It sounds to us like Cheryl is doing everything she can to avoid the beauty disaster she had at the X Factor USA press launch in 2011.
“It was the equivalent of five gallons of hair spray and then standing in the middle of a hurricane,” said judge Simon Cowell at the time.
The star’s hubby, Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini, didn’t walk the red carpet with Cheryl last night but was waiting inside for her to arrive, where the couple engaged in some affectionate PDAs.
But not all the celebs looked as amazing as Mrs. Fernandez-Versini last night - one Loose Women star had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction and some others needed to sack the stylist.
