Carol Vorderman Does A Kim Kardashian By Going Peroxide Blonde With An On-Trend Blob

Kim Kardashian's shocking hair transformation has brought blonde back into the limelight - so long bobs are going to be the cut of SS15.

And Carol Vorderman has shown that she can give Mrs West a run for her money, with a slightly more groomed Blob that looks really rather good.

The 54-year-old stepped out last night in London showing off a groomed platinum beehive hair-do - a far cry from her dark-brunette Countdown days.

The maths whizz has been inching up the colour spectrum recently, and it seems she's finally taken the peroxide plunge, just a few days after Kim went from super dark to super light in one fell swoop.

Carol joined Sarah Brightman for the announcement of the singer's upcoming space journey (Brightman will be heading to the International Space Station later this year).

Looking glamorous in a fitted grey dress, Vorders looked nicely tanned to match the hair colour - giving her a just arrived back from hols look.

It's a far cry from the naturally dark hair she sported in the '80s.

Though it's not the first time she's gone blonde - in 1984 she tried a rather mullet-like blonde look.

We reckon Carol's hair might get a better reaction than Kim K's look - which hasn't been universally popular.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star showed off her dramatic new look at Paris Fashion Week, but the unnatural colour for her and the difficulty of keeping it up have caused experts to suggest it's not a great move.

Who knows whether she was Carol's inspiration, but with more and more celebs proving blondes really do have more fun - the Blob is here to stay.
