Baftas 2015 Get The Look: Keira Knightley's Subtle But Gorgeous Beauty

Ever since pregnant actress Keira Knightley set foot on the Baftas 2015 red carpet in her darling Giambattista Valli Couture dress, we've been talking about her chic look non-stop.

From the leather jacket that she threw over the top of the pretty frock, to the dashing husband she accessorised it with, the whole thing got a big thumbs up from us.

Taking centre stage though, was her subtle but totally flawless beauty look, which has been Instagrammed and gushed about a thousand times already.

We spoke to Aleysha, expert makeup artist and founder of Athena - makeup academy, boutique and studio in Brick Lance - to get some advice about trying to recreate the look for ourselves.

Here's what she told us:

"Keira’s look was a refreshing take on the all out smoky eyes and bold lip – and very English Rose. This look is perfect for the office or an interview and for an understated glam look at the weekend.”

EYES UP!

They key to this look is starting with the eyes. As it is a natural look, you don't want to overload your skin with foundation.

"Start eyes with a matte light brown in the crease of the lids and blend a darker matte brown into it, from the lash line up," said Aleysha.

This Too Faced chocolate bar palette is a super option, with plenty of brown shades to choose from - £45.

"Curl lashes, pop on lots of mascara and keep brows natural. Apply a similar coloured eyeshadow to the eyebrows, and brush through," she continued.

ALL ABOUT THE BASE

"Apply foundation and concealer where needed," but take care not to overdo it, you're looking for that fresh-faced, dewy glow that Keira has.

"Set with a translucent powder for an iconic Hollywood finish," continued Aleysha.

"For Red Carpet radiance apply a perfect peach blush to the apple of your cheeks. Simply smile to find them."

Either the MAC "Peaches" blush or their softer, slightly paler "Melba" offering would be perfect - £18.

THE PERFECT POUT

"A peach blossom lip is the perfect partner to subtle brown smoky eyes and really accentuates the shape of the lip and brings out the eyes," finished Aleysha.

Carefully line the lip, creating a cupid's bow shape just under the filtrum by drawing a cross on the upper lip.
