BAFTAs 2015: Behind-The-Scenes Red Carpet Beauty Secrets Revealed

From Tanya Burr’s hair hero to Pixiwoos’ Lancome lipstick and Lea Sedoux’s smokey eyes savior, we’ve got all the goss from backstage at the BAFTA Awards 2015 Savoy Style Suites

It was the same night as the Grammy Awards, but while the Grammys were all boobs and butts (Madonna, we're looking at you), the BAFTA Awards were positively sophisticated in comparison.

The A-Listers descended upon London’s Royal Opera House for the BAFTAs 2015 and we’ve got the beauty secrets from the Savoy Style Suites beforehand…

YouTuber Tanya Burr had her hair expertly styled by the team at Charles Worthington, the official hair stylist to the BAFTAs for the seventh year in a row.

To create her glossy, side-swept waves, the team used the Volume & Bounce Limited Edition range, which is exclusive to Boots and which looks AMAZING on your dressing table with its striking pink and gold design.

The 25-year-old blogger bumped into her soon-to-be sister-in-laws Pixiwoos backstage at the Savoy, where Samantha Chapman and Nicola Haste were spotted getting ready for the awards as guests of Lancome (official beauty partners to the BAFTAs for 15 years).

Sam donned retro waves for the red carpet, completing her beauty look with grey smokey eyes and pink lips (Lancome Rouge in Love lipstick in 379N Rose Sulfureuse).

Meanwhile, Star Trek actress Alice Eve looked every inch the British bombshell, with a messy bun hairstyle, porcelain complexion and bold red lips.

Make-up artist Lee Pycroft used the Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation in 01 and Teint Miracle Concealer Pen in 01 to create a beautiful matte base on the actress, finishing off her look with the brand’s L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in 368 Rose Lancôme.

Mr Selfridge actress Kara Tointon was another star lucky enough to have her hair styled by celebrity hairdresser Charles Worthington, who later joined the brunette on the red carpet.

He told us he wanted the attention to be on her beautiful collar-bone structure, so they opted for a faux bob hairstyle.

“Kara has incredible collar bones that need to be shown off on a red carpet – the cut of that Julien Macdonald dress really drew attention to her toned physique and we wanted to enhance that beautiful feature with her hair by drawing the hair up into a faux bob, keeping it clear of the shoulders,” he said.

“We left the front of the hair soft and tumbling with lots of volume for modern take on a vintage red carpet style.”

Make-up maestro Shehla Shaikh (who we’ve had the pleasure of working with before) worked her magic on the actress, transforming her into a golden goddess with the Lancome Blush Subtil Palette 02 and Star Bronzer 03.

Kara has previously revealed that she uses Bio-Oil on her skin her skin to give it that youthful glow.

“It’s a miracle worker!” she said.

But the real star of the BAFTAs was Bond Girl Lea Sedoux, who absolutely stole the show in her cut-out Prada gown.

The actress had her blonde locks styled into a sleek bob by Alexandrine Piel, who framed her hairstyle around the face for a glamorous look.

Make-up artist Mary Wiles continued the bold colour theme by complementing her mustard yellow dress with pillar-block red lips.

Mary used the Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick in 383N Midnight Crush for Lea’s red pout (matching her glossy nails!), with lashings of Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara drawing attention to her mesmerizing eyes.
