    Kelly Osbourne is set to share her tips for beating the bulge once and for all with viewers of ITV1’s Lorraine.

    In early December Kelly took three women to LA to give them the opportunity to spend a week with her diet and fitness team on the Hollywood diet.

    One of the lucky women who set out to lose weight with Kelly is Esta, from Scotland, who wants to lose three stone on the Hollywood diet.

    In a promo video Esta - who is chef - talks about her biggest weakness being her love for sweet treats.

    She said: “It’s really hard here because I’ve always worked with food and around food, that’s been my biggest problem. You know I’ve got food but there’s cake there.”

    Esta lost weight for her daughter’s wedding but put it back on after her mum’s death. As the oldest of the three women on the challenge, adopting a healthy lifestyle now is important to the 62-year-old.

  • Over three quarters of British people unaware of hidden salt in foods

    New survey reveals how most of us are oblivious to what 'nasties' are lurking inside our meals

    The British public is still unaware of how much salt, sugar and saturated fat is in their favourite foods new research has revealed.

    Results show that the majority of people are largely unaware of what is in their snacks, takeaways and ready meals with 77 per cent of respondent receiving a low food IQ rating.

    Over half of the people surveyed didn’t know that the daily maximum amount of salt recommended is only one teaspoon.

    While 85 per cent didn’t realise that a pre-packed ham and cheese sandwich has more salt than a Chicken Tikka Masala ready meal.

    The newly launched ‘Food IQ’ quiz is designed to highlight levels of salt, sugar and saturated fat in popular foods in connection with the healthy living campaign Change4Life.

    Results from the report also revealed that only three of the 2000 adults that took part in the quiz have correctly answered all 12 questions.

    Jessie J ditched her smokey eye and bright lipstick for a fresh face as she posted a picture with no make-up on to millions of her followers.

    The Price Tag singer scraped her hair back and wore a black vest to show fans her off-duty New Year look.

    It seems Jessie is loving her new toned down style as she has posted a series of self portraits on her Instagram account that flaunt her barely-there make-up.

  • London’s first official Plus Size Fashion Weekend to launch

    The biggest plus-size fashion event will take place during London Fashion Week in February

    London’s first ever Plus Size Fashion Weekend will launch in February alongside London Fashion Week.

    Professional models, bloggers, designers and retailers will take over Shoreditch Town Hall in East London from 15-16 February 2013 to celebrate the fuller figure.

    A styling master class and plus size marketplace will feature inside as well as a ‘swap shop’ hosted by French fashion blogger Gaelle Vanessa Prudencio.

    Discussion panelists include Velvet D'Armour, the first plus size model to walk in a Jean Paul Gautier show and Jessica Kane, chief executive of American plus size magazine Skorch.

    The First Lady added a touch of colour to her monochrome outfit with a refreshingly bright neon yellow nail polish on her toes.

    Michelle’s simple black and white ensemble was contrasted with a bright neon pedicure, which she showed off on Christmas Day while visiting a military base with President Barack Obama in Hawaii.

    Singer promotes new weight loss plan while announcing she is pregnant with baby number two

    Jessica Simpson has unveiled a new look showing off her weight loss in a new Weight Watchers advert.

    The singer worked hard to shed the 50 pounds she gained while pregnant with her first child, Maxwell Drew, using Weight Watchers.

    In the new ad, filmed in November, Jessica displays her new slender figure in a tight-fitting vest top and jeans and also confirms that she’s expecting her second child.

    Before introducing the Weight Watchers 360 plan in the video, Jessica says: “This year is all about new beginnings for me. I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers, and did not have to be perfect to do it.

  • Top 10 unusual baby names of 2012

    Disney-inspired monikers top the list of quirky baby names for this year

    Popular Disney characters’ names have topped the list of unusual names given to babies born in 2012.

    While names like Belle or Jasmine and boys names Peter or Donald spring to mind those aren’t the ones being chosen.

    Instead parents are opting for Tinkerbell and Nemo as names for their children.

    Other quirky names on the list include Star, Bliss, Pyper, Buttercup and Kizzie for girls while River, Blade, Buzz-Bee, Storm and Zico rank high for boys.

    But traditionalists need not fear, as the most popular names given to both boys and girls sound a great deal more familiar.

    Old-school, traditional names topped the overall baby names list in the UK for 2012. The top names for boys and girls were Ethan and Eva, respectively.

    The big themes predicted for 2013 are ancient names and Roman Gods, sparked by The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones.

    Santa’s busiest night of the year is fast approaching and new research has revealed generous Brits will splash out almost £92m on luxury treats for Santa this Christmas.
