Beauty products to give you a healthy glow

Blogger Tamara Hinson reveals her favourite beauty buys to make your skin look natural and radiant

Let's face it, we can't rely on warm weather or sunny days to help restore the healthy glow, which has (for some of us, at least) proved so elusive since the weather took a turn for the worse.

The good news? Some of the hottest new product launches are ones designed to give our complexions a glow-enhancing, radiance-boosting pick-me-up.

First up is Bliss and their reincarnation of a cult classic. Their brand new Triple Oxygen ex-glow-sion Moisture Cream (£55, blissworld.co.uk) is an antioxidant and vitamin-packed moisturising cream which helps to restore radiance while providing a dose of moisture which lasts all day.

Its mousse-like texture means that it melts into skin on contact and an additional perk is the gorgeous, fresh fragrance.

Perfect primers

While tinted moisturisers are ideal for warmer weather, foundations are a great way to keep skin hydrated and protected from the onslaught of cold weather and central heating.

However, if you find that foundations can make your complexion look flat or dull, invest in a radiance-boosting primer to wear underneath.

One product worth trying is Estee Lauder's Illuminating Perfecting Primer (£22.50, esteelauder.co.uk). This multi-tasking miracle product primes skin while giving it a natural glow, thanks to a hi-tech formula which has the added advantage of sinking effortlessly into skin.

Another great primer is Clinique's Superprimer (£20, clinique.co.uk), which is actually a collection of six primers designed to target specific issues. The ones designed to correct dullness and sallowness are perfect for this time of year, and the formulas - although light as air - have seriously impressive staying power.

Shiseido are known for their scientific approach to skincare and their ability to create products which genuinely do what they say on the bottle.

February 6th will see the nationwide launch of their Future Solution LX Superior Radiance Serum, which includes the incredibly glamorous-sounding Pearl Hybrid Complex and Skingenecell1P. It comes with a hefty price tag - £275 - but it's gone down a storm in the US, where it launched before Christmas.

Fake it

By Terry's blushers were recently described by the Telegraph as "the best in the world" and we can't help but agree.

Both their skin-plumping Hyularonic Blush (which comes in one of loveliest shades of pink we've seen for a long while - Bubble Glow) and their skin-friendly Blush Terrybly (£29 and £53 respectively) are the perfect tools for the job when it comes to perking up lacklustre winter skin.

Vitamin C is essential for a healthy complexion but if you're not getting your five-a-day, opt for the Body Shop's Vitamin C Microdermabrasion (£13, thebodyshop.co.uk).

This refreshingly gritty facial scrub smells of oranges and infuses skin with a potent combination of Vitamin C and hydrating Shea butter.

If you're looking to cover all bases, look no further than the Ole Henriksen Love Kit Look at Her Glow (£23.60, lookfantastic.com), which is designed to boost radiance in a number of ways - more specifically, with the bestselling Truth Serum, African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser, Pure Truth Vitamin C Youth Activating Oil and Truth to Go Wipes.

Finally, don't forget that a healthy glow is impossible to achieve if your skin isn't in tip-top condition. A detoxifying face mask, such as Malin+Goetz's Detox Face Mask (£29, uk.spacenk.com) will lift away dirt and help to seal in the moisture which a glowing, healthy complexion requires. Now glow get 'em!
