Are You More Adventurous In Bed Than Your Partner? You're Not Alone

Two thirds of loved-up people in the UK reckon they're more sexually adventurous than their partner

Most partnered people in the UK believe themselves to be more sexually adventurous than their other halves, with a quarter of those feeling frustrated at the mismatch.

Defining 'adventurous' as 'open-minded and willing to try new things' a survey also discovered the most popular antics that those who considered themselves sexuall adventurous had tried.

The most common sexually adventurous activity was role play, which 72 per cent had tried, followed by sex outdoors (61 per cent), sex in public (37 per cent), sex with a stranger (28 per cent) and threesomes (26 per cent).

Which suggests that a quarter of Brits have had a threesome. Good going.

Unfortunately for current couples, most of this sexual adventuring was with a former partner, with only 47 per cent saying that they had these experiences with their current love.

The biggest frustrations around sex and relationships were the lack of adventure (73 per cent), a partner who didn't want to have sex as often as themselves (63 per cent), or wanted to have sex too often (31 per cent). Rather tragically, a tenth of respondents admitted they were no longer sexually attracted to their partner.

Sarah Bailey of UKMedix.com, which ran the study, commented on the findings:

“Who knew that us Brits were so adventurous in the bedroom!? It even appears that we can get a little demanding with our need for adventure!

"There are bound to be differences between partners in any relationship and sex is a really subjective thing.

"Everyone has different tastes and no two people are the same. If you are really struggling with a mismatched sex drive, then the first and most important thing to do is talk to your other half.”
