Alice Eve breaks red carpet fashion rules and proves you can wear red and wow at Star Trek Into Darkness premiere

British actress steals the show over Zoe Saldana in Emilio Pucci gown at Star Trek Berlin premiere

Alice Eve was a vision in red as she worked the cutout trend at the Star Trek Into Darkness premiere in Berlin.

The British actress joined her co-stars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto on the movie's red carpet, stealing the show in a floor-sweeping Emilio Pucci gown and Rene Caovilla shoes.

Alice, 31, wowed the crowds at the Sony Center in her fitted, column dress by the designer, which featured a curved cut-out under the bust and cap sleeves.

She perfectly accessorised her look, with poker-straight shoulder-length tresses, dewy skin and matching red lipstick and nails.

While the Sex and the City 2 actress stole the show at last night's premiere, her fashion choice broke all the red carpet dressing rules typically given out by stylists.

Opting for red on the carpet often means stars are at risk from completely blending in, meaning many are advised to opt for different shades of the bold hue if they decide on that shade.

But luckily for Alice the premiere was decked out in a more futuristic style fitting for the film, meaning her red gown made for a bold, fashion-forward choice.

Elsewhere at the event, Star Trek Into Darkness' leading lady Zoe Saldana showed off her eclectic fashion taste in a Balmain gold and metallic pink scallop-print long sleeved bodice and fuchsia print skirt.

The Avatar star teamed her look with Christian Louboutin pumps and a demure beauty look, with kohled eyes and gloss on her lips.
