It’s teamed with a pair of ruffled red heels – both items of which are worn by Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) in the newly released Capitol Couture propaganda shots.

But she’s not the only Hunger Games: Catching Fire character to have been inspired by the Brit design house.

The runway frock was part of the brand’s AW11 collection and was presented at Paris Fashion Week.

It features a jewel encrusted bodice and ruffled bottom half that resembles Katniss’ dress in the shots.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire wardrobe department also take inspiration from British designer, Christopher Kane.

The reason for this high fashion direction could be because of the new costume designer for Catching Fire, Trish Summerville.

She formerly led the costume team on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and is known for creating powerful looks for female characters.
