Aerobic respiration

This is the metabolic reaction that involves using the intake of oxygen to break down food and release energy into the body. This type of respiration happens when an individual partakes in aerobic exercise, such as running, swimming or dancing where oxygen is always required. During the process of aerobic respiration, the molecules of food are broken down to acquire energy; glucose and oxygen produce this energy as well as carbon dioxide and water. A lot of energy is produced during aerobic respiration.
