Woman Gives Birth To 13th Son

A woman in America has just given birth to her 13th baby and her 13th son.

Kateri Schwandt from Michigan gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday to the surprise of her and her husband Jay and beating the odds - 1 in 8,000 to be exact.

"It's a BOY! Now we need to choose a name! BLESSED beyond belief!" Jay posted on Facebook.

With 12 boys already at home, Kateri and Jay were hoping for a little girl but as with all their other children decided not to find out the sex of their unborn child.

When asked if they wanted another boy in the family, only three of the Schwandt boys raised their hand.

With a brood ranging from 22-years to 24-hours-old, Kateri and Jay say they contain the chaos with a system of charts and chore rota.

"There's a lot of activity, a lot of commotion, a lot of chaos, but there's also a lot of love," mum of 13 Kateri told Good Morning America.
