WASHINGTON (AP) -- Some of the country's largest grocery stores are pulling some of their store-brand products off their shelves, because of a recall of peanut butter and other nut products. A New Mexico company, Sunland Inc., is expanding its recall of peanut butter and almond butter. The recall now includes cashew butters, tahini and blanched and roasted peanut products. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Jefferson County Public Schools have sent out layoff notices to 41 certified teachers in the system. School officials say they have to give notice by May 15 for the upcoming school year. Spokesman Ben Jackey says those layoffs are due in part to budget constraints, including a loss of federal funds.
