Victoria Beckham on her more casual SS14 collection: ‘There’s a side of me that’s more relaxed’

She’s famous for her form-fitting, body-sculpting frocks.

But Victoria Beckham showcased a more relaxed collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday – revealing her more laidback side.

The former Spice Girl turned NYFW designer dressed models in loose, girly outfits consisting of flirty-hem skirts and casual cami tops.

“I love a fitted dress but there's a different side of me too that's more relaxed but still sharp,” she told Grazia magazine after the show.

Victoria, 39, certainly proved this with her SS14 ready-to-wear collection as there was hardly a fitted frock in sight.

Instead, models wore smart/casual looks taking inspiration from last season’s sports luxe trend.

The colour palette was simple for the runway collection, with all-white looking like a key trend, as was the monochrome look we’ve seen a lot on the red carpet recently.

Candy-floss pink, greige and oxblood added pops of colour to what was an otherwise neutral collection.

Shapes on the runway included masculine-style culotte shorts, oversized shirts, drop-hem dresses and cut-out necklines.

And it seems she certainly practices what she preaches as she was spotted wearing the loose culotte shorts and basic white shirt after the show.

Victoria’s husband David was pictured on the FROW supporting his wife alongside the couple’s daughter, Harper.

The retired footballer, 38, looked dapper in his suit with skinny tie – while 2-year-old Harper looked angelic in a white Chloe frock.

The pint-sized fashionista seemed less interested in her mother’s collection than making a beeline for US Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.

The pair’s cute daughter was snapped reaching out to the famous magazine editor – who returned the favour by waving to little Harper. Too cute!
