Fishing net skirts, statement tees and quirky leopard print – It’s Sister by Sibling at London Fashion Week

Brit design trio famed for bringing a touch of humour to LFW SS14 proceedings

It was the talk of London Fashion Week when Cara Delevingne walked the runway in a gigantic 3D knit jumper in their last show.

And this season, Sister by Sibling have come up trumps with another quirky, eccentric ready-to-wear collection.

The Brit design trio – who are renowned for bringing a touch of humour to LFW proceedings – presented their SS14 range at LFW this morning.

The runway featured cropped jumpers and midi skirts seemingly inspired by fishing nets – appropriately teamed with a black string bikini. Beachwear at its finest!

3D textures featured heavily on the catwalk, with tulle skirts, bomber jackets and strapless dresses adorned with lifesize roses for an elegant feel.

In the label’s typical tongue-in-cheek style, jumpers were printed with statements including ‘Lead Sister’ and ‘Happy’. We could definitely get on board with those!

The collection also felt very inspired by the ‘50s with its pretty, pastel shades including candyfloss pink and lemon yellow.

But in a complete contrast to the ice cream shades displayed, the collection also showcased in-your-face prints.

Leopard print tops and dresses in black, grey and red were teamed with orange swing coats and thigh-high split mini skirts for a colour-clashing look.

But our fave piece from the collection had to the ruffle-toe ankle strap heels which we could picture on Strictly on Saturday nights. Retro!

Beauty wise, the models’ hair was styled into wavy, retro beehives while eyes were lined with thick black kohl.

Sister by Sibling have done it again!
