Prince Harry jokes he'll sting Prince William with 'expensive babysitting charges' as he gushes over royal baby

Proud uncle Prince Harry promises to help protect Prince George and ensures he 'has fun'

Prince Harry has joked that Kate Middleton and Prince William better be prepared for his "expensive babysitting charges" when it comes to him looking after the royal baby.

The proud uncle beamed as he recounted the details of his first meeting with newborn Prince George last night, admitting his brother may be hit with a pricey bill when he babysits.

Speaking at the opening of 'The Sentebale: Stories of Hope' exhibition, he revealed: "It's fantastic to have an addition to the family.

"I only hope my brother knows how expensive my babysitting charges are!"

The 28-year-old prince vowed to protect his nephew, but added that he will ensure he has "fun" growing up too.

Prince Harry said he'd already had his first cuddle with Prince George Alexander Louis, who was born on Monday.

And it seems Prince William's joke to the press on Monday that Prince George "has a good pair of lungs on him" still rings true.

Harry laughed: "When I saw him he was crying his eyes out like all babies do I suppose."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently staying at the home of Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, in Bucklebury, Berkshire, with the royal newborn.

The proud parents welcomed their son into the world at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, at 16:24pm on Monday and revealed he will be named Prince George of Cambridge on Wednesday.
