Powerful Video Shows Women Aged 15-50 Describe Abortion In One Word

Abortion is an incredibly sensitive subject and everyone has different views and opinions on it.

Some people think it’s a personal choice while others steadfastly believe that it’s not acceptable – as this video by Cut clearly shows.

The heartfelt clip shows women aged between 15 and 50 describe their thoughts on abortion in one word, and there’s a huge mix of responses.

Some of the women interviewed and entirely unaccepting of abortion and use strong words such as ‘killing’ to ‘horrible’ to describe it while others say it’s ‘necessary’ and a ‘right’.

Interesting, the 20-30 year old women appear to be the most accepting of abortion – possibly because they, or other women they know, have been through it. One 21 year old says it’s a ‘choice. A controversial choice, but ultimately everyone has their own reasons.’

While the two youngest women who appear in the short film have possibly the strongest negatives reactions to it.

“Killing,” is the word that the 15 year old featured chooses. “Because they’re basically killing their baby even though it’s still in the mum”.

The 16 year old calls it “horrible” and says “if you’re given the gift of the baby then you should treasure that.”

The topic of abortion will always cause debate. Since being uploaded just yesterday, this video has been viewed over 60,000 times and spurred hundreds of comments of all varieties.
