Buñuelos are thought of as typical Spanish fare, but they’re also enjoyed in South America – including Columbia, where although they’re eaten all year round are associated with Christmas. These puffy fritters are about the size of a ping pong ball and consist of deep-fried sweet dough flavoured with cheese.
