The advertising watchdogs have had a busy year putting make-up, skincare, fashion and fragrance companies under fire for misleading their audience with ‘unrealistic’ and ‘irresponsible’ adverts. A Marc Jacobs’ ad was also banned in the UK this year. The ad for his latest fragrance Oh Lola! featured teen actress Dakota Fanning .

The advertising censors felt that the ad was ‘sexually provocative’ and unsuitable for children.
