With just days to go until the London Olympics officially gets underway, we’re turning our attention to the athletes’ threads. Naturally.
We’ve been over-excited about the Stella McCartney designs since the collaboration with Adidas was announced this time last year, and the British designer didn’t disappoint!
Taking inspiration from her SS12 collection, Stella incorporated mesh into the athletes' Presentation Jacket and gave Team GB’s girls a touch of tailoring and a flattering waist belt.
Meanwhile Ralph Lauren has been tasked with kitting out Team USA, designing chic ensembles for the Opening and Closing Ceremony as well as off-duty village looks.
Like Team GB, Ralph Lauren designed around a red, white and blue colour scheme and also championed the tailored trend for the ceremony outfits, pairing a flippy white skirt with a blue blazer and necktie.
