New York Fashion Week A/W 2014: Important things we've learnt at NYFW

NYFW notebook: Here are the very important things we've learnt from watching models strut around in pretty clothes in the Big Apple

All those fashionistas the other side of the Atlantic, all that glamour.

If you're getting slightly overwhelmed by the catwalk chaos, here is all you need to know about New York Fashion Week A/W 2014.

1. Victoria Beckham is STILL a big fan of flats. But not for show days. Obvs.

2. Alexa Chung spent most of the Peter Pilotto/Target party licking microphones and posing for selfies. Standard.

3. Ireland Baldwin walked her first ever NYFW catwalk...and killed it!

4. Reverse cat-eyes are now TOTALLY a thing - thanks to Nicholas K.

5. Candice Swanepoel looks just as good OUT of the clothes as she does IN them. #NYFWselfie

6. Uber Cars are the ONLY way to get from show to show.

7. Joe Jonas might have a new baby niece, but he's all about the FROW right now.

8. Rita Ora 'can't move' after the DKNY show at NYFW - but it's good to see she's still a BIG fan of tartan.

9. The streaker at Prabal Gurung might have just made our life.

Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukranian reporter/TV prankster - the same guy that gave Madonna her most loathed flowers on the red carpet and hugged Bradley Cooper's crotch - bared all on the runway this weekend.

10. The Beckhams are THE best looking family on the block…

11. And the most supportive. Note the Americanisation of the word 'Mommy'...

12. Victoria Beckham's AW14 collection is paparazzi-proof! The designer's pieces are flattering from EVERY angle on any figure - we're sold.

13. Chocolate walls at Opening Ceremony AW14 - the designers came back from Belgium and wanted to showcase its culinary delights. No, seriously.

14. Victoria Beckham cancelled her Victoria by Victoria Beckham show becuase she wasn't ready. Or did she? VB's reps refuted these claims by Vogue UK, saying there was no show to cancel. Either way, we didn't get to see her more affordable range, which is a shame.
