Right, girls, there’s no getting away from this – it’s nearly time for swimsuits! All together now: ‘Ahhhhh!’ Oh, that felt better, now let’s get down to the nitty gritty and work out how you can make the very best of the time you have left to get into shape. I have good news: you can do an awful lot. But – and it’s a big but – you have to start today! Promise yourself that you’re going to do everything you can to get body confident. Firstly, exercise at least five times a week. Yes, five. Sorry! This will ensure you really shift pounds; anything you enjoy, from dancing, running, or sweating it out to a DVD. Secondly, stick to three meals and two snacks a day, and cut down on fat and sugar, but don’t cut them out completely or you’ll want to kill someone! There you go, not gimmicky or glam, but it works. It’s how I lost 3½ stone!
Before I eat my evening meal, I always have a salad, as it helps to fill me up. But I hate fat-free, shop-bought dressings. So here are two of my favourite homemade ones. They’re delicious and lower in calories. Allow just two tablespoons per person.
