Amanda’s first pregnancy was as a surrogate and, controversially, her own eggs were used.
Amanda says: “There is a part of my body that’s designed to be used and I thought ‘if I can help, I will’.”
Forthright and honest, Amanda, who is a mum of two, discusses the essential characteristics needed to be a surrogate mother, how her husband reacts to another pregnancy and the most difficult part of carrying a baby for another person.
