Mumpreneur unveils cute solution to parents’ travelling nightmare

Inspired by her daughter, one mum has created a range of adorable cuddly pillows to help keep kids happy (and quiet) while travelling

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. You’re on a plane, your child won’t stop crying and they’ve left behind their beloved teddy bear.

But one entrepreneur mum may have the solution.

Mum-of-one Inma Garcia has created a unique, cuddly teddy bear that doubles up as a pillow.

My Travel Toy, specially designed for kids on the go, was inspired by the London textile designer’s two year old daughter, Soraya, who loved sleeping on her teddy so much she refused to travel anywhere without it.

Now, after £50,000 worth of investment and five years hard work, Inma has launched the Qatch label, selling the My Travel Toy teddy bear pillow on the website.

“I wanted to create something unique, a premium quality toy with lots of colour, style and design,” the self-proclaimed ‘Mumpreneur’ told the Metro.

“It keeps you cool when it’s hot and gives you warmth when it’s cold, making it ideal for children and babies to rest their head on.

“It provides young travellers with entertainment, comfort and a pet friend.”

Better still, the pillows are made with natural materials, and the bamboo fabric is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-static, which is ideal for little ones with sensitive skin.

My Travel Toy comes in different characters, such as Babbo the Bear, Dado the Dog and Luno the Owl so youngsters can choose their favourite animal to cuddle.

The site’s recently started selling a new patriotic London Bear which features a wooly jumper and a Union Jack Flag.

A selection of My Travel Toys from the Qatch website © QatchMy Travel Toy is sold in John Lewis, Harrods and the Qatch website RRP £29.99.
