Missoni Will Go Ahead With Men's Show In Milan Next Week

News has just reached us that Missoni’s menswear show will go ahead next Wednesday in Milan, as part of men’s fashion week, despite the family’s personal recent nightmare “in order to give continuity” the Missoni company told WWD, though it is believed that none of the family will attend the show.

 It has been almost a week since the chief executive of the Missoni, Vittorio Missoni as well as his partner and two friends, went missing on a short flight from the island of Los Roques, off the coast of Venezuela. Since his disappearance, there has been a week of air and sea searches, with Vittorio’s brother Luca, a trained pilot helping the Venezuelan authorities.

Yesterday, Vittorio’s eldest son Ottavio Missoni Jr spoke out, claiming he was doubtful that the reason for the disappearance was a plane crash into the sea. "My father will come back; we are waiting for him. I am not speaking with my head but with my heart. A plane cannot vanish in this way, on a short route, without leaving any trace." He told the Corriere della Sera.
