Michelle Dockery, Denise Lewis and Fiona Bruce go make-up free for Children in Need BearFaced campaign

Children in Need 2013: Vanessa Feltz, Rachel Stevens and Jodie Whittaker among stars to ditch the slap to raise money for the charity

They’re used to being glammed up to the nines.

But Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery, presenter Fiona Bruce and singer Rachel Stevens are among the celebs to ditch the slap for Children in Need 2013.

The stunning stars were photographed bare-faced by acclaimed photographer Rankin to raise money for the charity.

The aim of the ‘BearFaced’ campaign is to encourage women to go make-up free on Nov 8th for Children in Need.

But in an attempt to lessen the load, cosmetics brand No7 will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the charity so it costs less to get your skin ready for the big day.

Between the 1-9 November, 5p from every pound spent on No7 skincare at Boots UK stores will be donated directly to BBC Children in Need.

Other celebs snapped without makeup include athlete Denise Lewis, presenter Vanessa Feltz and actress Jodie Whittaker.

They join stars including Laura Whitmore, Alex Jones and former Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh in ditching the slap for Children in Need.

"Ladies discard your mascara and join me and all our women in going BearFaced for the day - it's such a simple way to get involved with raising money for Children in Need,” said Downton star Michelle.

Women are also being encouraged to replace the slap with a pawprint stamp as seen on the Rankin photos, which are available from the Post Office.

As much as the thought of going a day without make-up fills us with fear, at least we know we’ll not be the only ones!
