Lady Gaga showcases summer’s next big beauty trend – powder face paint

Lady Gaga admitted she ‘wasn’t quite prepared’ for her new single Applause to leak online.

But the US singer must have breathed a sigh of relief as it meant she could wander the streets of LA with this bizarre make-up to promote the single.

The Born This Way singer was spotted out and about in Cali donning a make-up look inspired by the artwork of her single, Applause.

Gaga copied the artwork almost identically with multi-coloured powder paint applied all over her face.

The 27-year-old sported turquoise and canary yellow brows, blue eyeshadow, orange blush and a pillarblock red pout.

And it seems she wanted to showcase the bonkers beauty look for quite some time as she admitted on Twitter she’s been waiting to show it for two weeks.

“I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO THIS FOR 2 WEEKS! HERE'S MY APPLAUSE COVER SELFIE -->I USED MY BED SHEET #APPLAUSECoverSelfie [sic],” wrote the New Yorker on Twitter.

Of course, she posted the snap in an intimate setting in a shot that looks like she’s completely naked.

And in another hilarious snap, US radio DJ Ryan Seacrest appears to have had the makeover as well.

“One of us was born this way, one of us needed to be touched up,” wrote the American Idol host on Instagram alongside a picture of him with identical make-up to Gaga.
