A kettle bell is a piece of gym equipment with a rounded bowling ball style base and a single handle. They can be found in the mat/mirrored area of a gym and range in weight, from approximately 2kg to 80kg. Exercise classes centred on kettle bells aim to target different muscle groups to create more tone and strength. However, the movements used in kettlebell exercises may be harmful to those with a weak back or shoulders, as a swinging motion is often practised.
