The secret to Kelly Brook's perfect skin - why we all want a paper mask

Perfectly-pored model reveals how she keeps her skin glowing with a disposable hydrating paper mask

Kelly Brook is the latest celeb to reveal how she keeps her pores perfect and her skin looking radiant.

The stunning model tweeted a pre-makeup selfie of her skincare regime, revealing a mummy-like paper face mask.

These paper masks, soaked with skin-conditioning ingredients and serums, have been popular for years with skincare-obsessed beauty fans in Asia and now Japanese skincare company Shu Uemuera is bringing them to the West, collecting an army of celeb fans as it goes.

Kelly Brook relies on Shu Uemura's Depsea Hydrability Intense Moisture Filling Mask to hydrate and nourish her skin.

A paper mask or 'sheet mask', is usually made from thin cloth, not paper, and is cut to the shape of the face, with spaces for eyes, nose and mouth.

Laid on a clean face, it delivers nutrients and calming hydration to the skin for 10 to 15 minutes. You then peel off the mask and rather than washing any residue off your face, you rub it into the skin. They can be used once or twice a week depending on your skin type.

The mask Kelly's wearing  is enriched with carrageenan algae extract, which comes from deep sea kelp. It's designed to reveal a softer, sleeker, plumper and more transparent complexion, and if Kelly's glowing skin is anything to go by, it works!

You can choose from a variety of masks including vitamin-C rich brightening options as well as ultra nourishing hydration, collagen boosting or simple calming.
