Kate Winslet wore an on-trend black skirt suit by Alexander McQueen as she received her CBE for services to drama by Queen Elizabeth II today.
The 37-year-old actress chose the British designer for the occasion, wearing a simple black pencil skirt and peplum style blazer with satin trim.
Kate completed the look with a pair of black kitten heel court shoes and a hat by Natalie Ellner for Ellsewhere.

It’s not the first time the Oscar-winning actress has stepped out in McQueen as she wore a similar dress by the designer at a pre-Baftas party celebrating her achievements recently.
The mum-of-two styled that look with a pair of black peep toe heels and gold accessories, leaving her blonde locks loose around her face.

It seems her fellow acting peers aren’t the only one to appreciate her work as today the Queen awarded her a CBE, nearly 15 years after Titanic was released, for her services to drama.
