Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell smoulder in black and white photos for Interview Magazine models shoot

Seven of the most supermodels the world has ever known grace the cover of Interview Magzine and share their memories of modelling

Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell lead a troop of seven of the world's most successful supermodels in this stunning new photoshoot for Interview Magazine's coveted September issue.

The stunning photography makes it obvious why the group - which includes Linda Evangelista, Stephanie Seymore, Amber Valletta, Christy Turlington and Daria Werbowy - have been the most sought-after faces in the industry over the past four decades.

Each model commands a front cover on her own and inside are more images from the photoshoot, plus interviews with the women.

There's also a portfolio of 70 big name models who didn't quite make the covers, including Miranda Kerr and Lara Stone.

The interviews show the models all have quite different attitudes towards the fashion industry.

Linda Evangelista is enamoured with the entire process, saying; "I love everything about fashion . . . I used to stay with Azzedine Alaïa until four in the morning, letting him stick pins into me because it was a dream."

While Daria Werbowy hasn't always been comfortable in her model skin.

"Sometimes I am still surprised that I'm a model and that people think I'm good-looking. I've gone through a lot of different phases on what I do and why I do it -- morally and ethically.

"I've tortured myself about it, especially in dealing with success and money. I just had to learn to look at it as a job, as opposed to identifying myself as a model and thinking of myself as a part of this industry."

Representing the old guard, Naomi Campbell remembers how the industry used to be with rose-tinted specs:

"When I started out modelling, there weren't casting directors and there weren't stylists, so you just dealt directly with the designer. We were all much closer back then."

Celebrating the best of fashion faces, we'll be keeping these mags as coffee table books.
