Kate Moss’s daughter in Vogue airbrushing blunder

After years of having her own photos airbrushed in magazines and advertisements the world over Kate Moss's daughter, Lila Grace, is now feeling the effects of overzealous airbrushers.

The portrait of mother and daughter was taken by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, for the all-important September issue of US Vogue.

A series of wedding photos featuring Kate Moss and her family are the centre piece of the magazine.

The romantic photography and whimsical designs have caught the fashion world’s eye - but that’s not what has people talking.

It seems an overly enthusiastic art director has photoshopped Lila grace’s hand, leaving her with only two fingers and a thumb.

"You really have to hand it to Vogue," said jezebel.com. "Did an inattentive so-and-so have their fingers in too many pies?

How else to explain this heavy-handed editing job? One wonders, will Anna Wintour call for all hands on deck to finger the culprit?"

After all the hoo-ha made about her exclusive wedding photos, the least Vogue could do for Kate (one of the world's most famous supermodels) was make sure all her child's digits were intact.

This latest Vogue airbrushing flub is just one of many Photoshopping disasters to take place over the past few months.

High street retailer H&M accidentally photoshopped a model's head out of an image on their website and beauty company L’Oreal was in hot water when their ads featuring Julia Roberts for Lancôme Miracle Tint and Christy Turlington for Maybelline's Eraser Foundation were banned.

Earlier this year Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani, who has been in at the helm of the mag for over two decades, expressed her dislike for re-touched images.

She told Women’s Wear Daily: “We use it less and less, increasingly so - actually recently I am very much against it.”

The 61-year-old fashion editor told WWD there a “very few” photographers who don’t use Photoshop and slammed glossy magazines for their tendency to airbrush.
