Last week Kate Middleton swapped her stilettos for a pair of sneakers as she stepped onto a hockey field at the Olympic Park wearing a navy Emilio Pucci blazer, official Team GB supporter scarf and coral jeans. But little did she know she would be responsible for kick-starting one of the biggest denim trends for summer. Bright skinny jeans have been on our radar for a while now, but the endless selection of colour ways available this season has surpassed all expectation and of course it was only a matter of time before someone, namely, the Duchess of Cambridge, who was attending a meet and greet at the Olympic Park with the official Olympic Team, would own this look. Sales of coral shaded denim went up by 88% in just a matter of hours of Kate’s public appearance and high street chain George has seen an increase overall this season of 471% as more celebrities channel this trend.
