Having long favoured labels known for soft feminine styles and delicate touches such as Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Jenny Packham and Emilia Wickstead, Kate’s choosing of edgy Kane comes as a rather exciting surprise.
Famed for his innovative use of see-through plastic and laser cut leather, Kane would be an adventurous choice for most.
But while joining Prince William and Michelle Obama at a Buckingham Palace reception before the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, Kate showed off the more demure side of Kane’s aesthetic.
Sporting a tailored silk coatdress with long sleeves and chic belted waist, Kate shone in the pale shade and shimmering fabric.
Having complained in the past that he’d love to see Kate wear less high street and more designer clobber, it seems Chris Kane got his dream come true today!
