Kate Middleton and Prince William prepare for royal baby birth

Royal baby watch: as the due date approaches, the Duchess of Cambridge is 'pictured' preparing for the birth with Prince William in hilarious spoof

Kate Middleton is due to give birth to the royal baby any day now – with very little known about what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are doing in preparation.

So one celebrity photographer has turned to her imagination rather than wait for Clarence House. Famed snapper Alison Jackson has used clever photo tricks and two very convincing lookalikes to create a hilarious photo series showing what she thinks may be going on behind the scenes.

In the photos, the 'Duchess of Cambridge' is seen posing with husband 'Prince William' with her bump fully on show.

In one photo, Kate’s lookalike is seen smiling down at her swollen stomach in a set of nude body pants and navy lace dress.

Her hair is styled in the 31-year-old’s signature blow dry with her make-up almost identical to the pregnant Duchess.

In another funny snap, William is pictured wrapping a tape measure around Kate’s stomach to predict the size of the baby.

He looks on endearingly at Kate’s baby bump and touches it gently as he wraps the tape measure around her.

From a distance, the lookalikes are uncannily similar to the royal couple with their wardrobes matched to a tee.

In another shot, ‘Kate’ rests one hand on her back and another on her husband’s head as he takes a closer look at the measurement.

The lookalikes are pictured in a conservatory, using a set supposed to be similar to where they reside at Clarence House.

But in what is perhaps the funniest photo of all, the lookalikes are pictured debating a list of names for the royal baby.

Royal names including Caroline, Camilla and Harriet are scribbled out with William’s late mother, Princess Diana, being a name the couple have high up on the list for their child.

If rumours are to be believed, Kate and Wills’ baby is due tomorrow July 13 – with the pregnant Duchess expected to give birth at the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London.

The world’s media are waiting with bated breath for the royal baby, which will have the title of the Prince or Princess of Cambridge – the third in line to the throne behind Princes Charles and William.
