Check out Jessica Chastain’s dramatic hair makeover! The actress has chopped her long auburn waves into a chin length bob for her role in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
It’s a brave move, but she mustn’t have had time to worry about the change – the drastic haircut took place between takes. Jessica filmed scenes with both long and short locks on the same day. So thank goodness the swift trip to the hairdressers left the 35-year-old with a cut that shows off her cheekbones, rather than a hair disaster. Phew!
Jessica isn’t the only actress to go for a drastic hair makeover for a role. Anne Hathaway, Nathalie Portman and Charlize Theron have all shaved their heads to transform into movie characters, as have Demi Moore and Cate Blanchett (and we thought we were being brave when we got a fringe cut in)!
Unlike Jessica, who seemed unfazed by her major makeover, Anne has said that getting her Les Miserables buzz cut left her in tears! She said: “I’ve now done back-flips out of windows, I’ve jumped off buildings. And cutting my hair reduced me to, like, mental patient-level crying. I was inconsolable.”
