Heart rate

Your heart rate is the measure of how many beats of the heart occur for a set amount of time, usually per minute (beats per minute). If you have any concerns regarding your heart rate you should make an appointment with your GP to have your blood pressure taken.  The measurement of heart rate is used by medical professionals to help diagnose and monitor certain medical conditions such as diabetes. It is also used by athletes who monitor their heart rate to make the most of their training.
