Gwyneth Paltrow shares her skincare beauty secrets

Ice-cold water, salt baths and a crazy Israli facialist, it's beauty business as usual for newly-single Gwyneth Paltrow

Looking at her you'd never guess the past year has been a difficult one, ending in the sad announcment and her marriage is over.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks the picture of health, far younger than her 41 years and without a stress line or an eye bag in sight.

And good news for those of us not on a Hollywood budget, some of Gwynnie's beauty tips are easy to achieve at home.

The first is ice water - which we can all afford. “If I'm really tired and puffy, I stick my face in a sink or bowlful of ice water," she said in an interview with Refinery29. "It's really good — it gets the blood flowing to your skin."

Another budget tip is using Epsom salts in the bath to detox and tone the skin - a trick used by other celebs including Victoria Beckham.

However that's kind of where the achievable tips end. Gwyneth also regularly sees a lady se describes as her 'crazy Israeli facialist', Sonia Dakar and uses laser and collagen treatments.

"I do some lasers and collagen treatments, but I'm not doing anything more extreme than that, beauty-wise, at the moment," she said. In the past she's experimented with Botox but complained to Harper's Bazaar that it made her 'look crazy'.

The other element that prolongs her youthful looks is of course her strict diet. She's struggled with criticism as she promotes her ultra healthy, gluten-free, lifestyle and cook book but there's no denying that what she puts in her body gives her that Hollywood glow whatever the British weather.

She says that when she's feeling 'slugglish' she cuts out gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol and coffee. Which presumably means she doesn't deprive herself of these all the time.

"Caffeine is the most important thing to nix if I'm really trying to get rid of inflammation," she explains, suggesting we try matcha green tea lattes or Kukicha - a Japanese roasted twig tea.

And while not all of us can afford a personal trainer, she insists that any kind of exercise makes the biggest difference to your health and appearance.

"If you're on a budget,  you can get a yoga DVD, go for a walk or go dancing with a friend. It's a hugely important part of staying young."

But money saving on beauty isn't worth it, according to the mum-of-two.

"You're better off rubbing some organic coconut oil on your face than wasting your money on cheap, ineffective products."
