Gwyneth Paltrow to ditch clean living for Christmas blowout

The famed healthista admits she loves all the food and wine at Christmas time and is planning a huge foodfest for the family

Her halo is slipping. Not only does she allow herself a cheeky ciggie once a week, it now seems that Gwyneth Paltrow isn't as clean-living as she'd have us all believe.

Oh no. For at Christmas, the gluten-free, incredible-bodded actress with the self restraint of a Himalayan monk will be indulging in a food fest, just like the rest of us.

According to Gwyneth, who's married to Coldplay's Chris Martin, Christmas in the Martin-Paltrow household involves a very traditional menu including turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes and even pumpkin and peacan pie - though will it be gluten-free?

In an interview with the Mail, Gwynnie said: "I do a lot of the cooking before Christmas but then I usually spend a lot of Christmas cooking too.

"All the smells, all of the mulled wine, all of the trimmings for the turkey. We like to have all the family around. A very traditional Christmas," she said.

But don't worry, it's not just going to be Gwynnie in her pinny cooking up a storm, she'll be joined by her seven-year-old son Moses, who's a bit of a whizz in the kitchen.

"My kids are very involved in the kitchen with me, especially my son. He loves to cook and he’s very engaged when we do it – he has a lot of patience for it, it’s very cute. He helps me measure and he cracks eggs perfectly, he’s very good."

But what's got us more puzzled than the idea of Gwyneth eating a feast after all her proclamations about what foods we should and shouldn't eat, is her baffling level of pre-Christmas organisation, which frankly puts all mums everywhere to shame.

"I have a master list of presents and people that I need to get presents for – work presents, kid presents, godchildren, friends.

"I start thinking about it a few months in advance and then I see on this master list what I got them last year and the year before."

Phew. Doesn't she have an assistant for that sort of thing?
